Zero-G have announced the release of Ethera, a flexible vocal instrument that combines vocal samples, simplicity and a high degree of playability all packed into an attractive Kontakt interface. Whilst dubbed a 'cinematic' vocal instrument, UK distributor Time + Space say the sounds in this package will work equally well in many other styles of music including Soul and EDM as well as World, Tribal, Celtic and more. Ethera features three main instruments: Phrases — This includes 45 patches which can be mixed and combined to create new phrases and personalise the existing ones. These phrases can be manipulated in many ways by the GUI controls including time-stretching or syncing to your host application. Pads — This instrument contains several vocal pads that are designed to immediately add emotion or grandeur to your compositions. Legato – Offering the ability to ‘play’ the voice of Ethera using ‘oohs’ and ‘ahs’ in sustained or staccato modes and features Attack, Legato Speed, Release, Vibrato, Pan and Volume controls.
